ESPN Brasil: Milan could complete André deal despite board meeting – the situation

Despite suggestions that André’s move to AC Milan may not go ahead, it appears the club may still have a chance.

In recent days, Milan stepped up their pursuit of André massively, and it appeared that a deal had been completed. Indeed, the young Brazilian would arrive for €17 million. However, this is where things get complicated.

The André situation

Last night, the president of Corinthians looked to stop the deal, and ESPN Brasil (via MilanNews) reports that a board meeting will take place today. The issue of the move will be discussed and hopefully resolved, but it may be too late.

As the report continues, the exchange of draft contracts have already been signed by the club’s legal department, and there are ‘multiple confirmation emails’. Legally, as the report continues, it may be considered a binding offer, so it may oblige them to respect the values and conditions already agreed and signed off on.

If, after today’s meeting, the Brazilian club change their mind, there is a chance that FIFA will be consulted about the deal to resolve the situation. Given the player wants the move, it could become a rather tricky one to navigate for the selling party.

The Rossoneri, ultimately, will just have to wait.
