This summer, AC Milan may need to appoint a new manager due to the situation surrounding Massimiliano Allegri. A new name may not be needed, though.
It seemed that Allegri’s Milan project was going to be a longer one than those that came before him. Moving away from the likes of Paulo Fonseca and Sergio Conceicao, the Rossoneri were getting a multi-year project to at least build themselves towards a higher platform.

However, with Italy’s failure to qualify for the World Cup, the plans have been shaken up. Allegri’s future is no longer confirmed and rumours surround him constantly regarding his future.
Indeed, the latest suggestion is that the new FIGC President is a fan of the Italian and wants him in charge.
Post-Allegri plan in place
Reports earlier today suggest that the club are quietly confident of him staying in charge, but if he does move on, a contingency plan may already be in place as Matteo Moretto alluded to earlier today on his YouTube channel, via MilanNews.
“Eye on the future of Vincenzo Italiano, despite certain declarations of continuity on the Bologna bench: we understand that Italiano is very appreciated by several important clubs in Italy. He has a contract until 2027 and earns just over €3 million per season after his 2025 renewal.
“Watch out because Vincenzo Italiano is a name to keep an eye on if there should be a tetris of benches, especially from a national perspective. So Italiano at Bologna, yes, but there is an asterisk to take into consideration: several teams in Italy like it a lot”.
Of course, Italiano was heavily linked to the job at San Siro last summer. So, revisiting that interest would not be a surprise.

Xavi Alonso is better
yeah Liverpool bound Alonso will come to Milan…
Xavi, Motta, Italiano are our best bet, but if we are super lucky and Guardiola stays then we could potentially discuss Maresca
Motta guy who has worked for over a year and Italiano who just loat 3-1 to struggling Villa
Sounds awesome
Struggling Villa?
You mean the 3rd place team in the best league in football?
To compare Bologna to Villa who are one of the top 20 highest earning clubs on the planet is ridiculous
Hahahahaha, you clown! 😀 Those deadbeats Aston Villa. 😀
Stop it with the Italiano BS. His Bologna this season aren’t anything to write home about. And before he comes to a big club, he needs to do what Gasp is doing and attempt at Roma or Lazio or Napoli even.
It’s Bologna, they barely have a budget to sign players what do you expecf
That’s not the point. At Milan he would also be expected to deliver more working with less. Do you think Furlani will give him everyone he asks for? No, he’ll be working with the same gaps across the team. PLUS, the added pressure of having to perform for a big club.
Even xavi is good option
I always felt Motta would do well at Milan , he wasn’t given enough time at Juve and his Bologna were unbelievable.
Maresca would be top if they could actually land him , Simeone Inzaghi would be intriguing, he is the master of the 3-5-2, which looks set to be our defence for the foreseeable future.
Italiano ? No thanks.
With a proper budget and players Italiano can do well.
I like enzo maresca
No I like Vincenzo Italiano he is the best coach and Acmilan have made a good choice so let’s bring him in the summer and start preparing for summer transfer to boost the market
Enzo Maresca would be very interesting, but I think Allegri will stay. These stories are a constant thing when the club is in bad form
If Max leaves, I’d be curious about Mancini. Or crazy idea – Iraola from Bournemouth.
If Allegri leave, I hope Milan get Roberto De Zerbi or Francesco Farioli to replace Allegri.
First of all this is probably “click bait” news since we are in a bad form. However, we “the fans” can pick a favorite coach but it all depends on the managment. If the management have a long term plan we will be ok despite who they hire. If they will be chaotic in a sense like they have been, then we will not be ok and struggle.

Remember the #Nopetegui movement?
Remember Julen Lopetegui from not too long ago?
It was the fans at work.
Should have gone for him 2 years ago
