This summer, it appears that AC Milan could make a move to sign a new right-back. However, they would not open a new path.

10 months ago, it didn’t seem like Milan were really in the market for a right-back, at least not desperately. They had signed Zachary Athekame and saw Alexis Saelemaekers looking strong in pre-season.
So, there was no need to add another player to compete, especially with Fikayo Tomori also able to cover.
However, the recent games have shown that the Rossoneri may need a proper right-back and not a makeshift option, which Saelemaekers ultimately is.
Milan to move for Molina?
As MilanVibes recalls, the Diavolo actually made a late attempt for a right-back. But, the move did not progress past interest. Now, it may be revisited.
Nahuel Molina, who has played for Atletico Madrid since leaving Udinese in 2022, is at the end of his time with the club and he will be made available for the mercato, which could alert Milan.
Massimiliano Allegri has already approved of the Argentine, thanks to his experience in Serie A. Additionally, he would be able to play in a more aggressive wing-back role, should it be needed.
With a salary of less than €4 million per season, and him only arriving in Spain for €22m, he should be an affordable pick up and the Rossoneri may take action.
