AC Milan are looking to Real Madrid once again, and there is hope that there is another project player for them to discover.
After the success of Alex Jimenez, where Milan made a nice profit, Milan are once again looking to Madrid for another gem to develop. In fact, it seems that one has already piqued their interest, and he has been compared to the Spaniard.
The next in line
As previously reported, there is a ‘strong interest’ in Victor Valdepeñas, who is currently playing for the Real Madrid Castilla squad.
Today, these links were strengthened by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), who report that the Rossoneri see him as another Jimenez. A left-sided defender, the youngster has 20 appearances in the Spanish third tier, with a goal to his name as well.
In fact, the Spaniard has already made his first appearance for the senior team too, which arrived in December against Alaves.
Whilst his agent represents a few members of the Inter squad, he also represents Mario Gila, who has been a big interest for Igli Tare, who has previously dealt with his agents.
As a result, making a move for both could be beneficial to the other, and having a strong relationship with an agency like that could only be a good thing. A situation which we know the Diavolo are not against given their pursuit of Dusan Vlahovic and Andrej Kostic.
Indeed, it is a situation to watch.
This is a joke. Such rash decision making by the club leadership. We sold Jimenez (a competent saelamaekers equivalent on the left flank) and spent $20M to bring in Estupinan who is not of Milan’s calibre. Now we’re like, « oh, we need to start looking for another Jimenez »? Ridiculous
