Premier League shopping
There have been a few names arise this summer. However, the most interesting ones come from England, and the Premier League. For about six months now, the Rossoneri have tracked Darwin Nunez, but Matteo Moretto reports that this is now a dead end, via MilanPress.
Instead, the names of Dusan Vlahovic and Victor Boniface are rising. Then, there is interests in a few Premier League ideas – which is where Giroud arrived from, perhaps, a repeat is hoped for more than just in profile.
Again, the Diavolo will look to Chelsea, and Nicolas Jackson’s name is being mentioned, whilst Frenchman Jean-Philippe Mateta also is gaining a bit of momentum. For Mateta, it is much of the same. Exploratory talks, without negotiations, yet. However, his contract expires in 2026, which could be an aid.

Completely agree particularly Jackson. Matete has only had one decent season recently, not convinced hes a step up in quality over Gimenez.
Jackson , like Darwin Nunez, is a calamity. I can understand if they were cheap and bought as rotation/backup. But if this is for our starting striker at 40mn++ they are definitely short of the mark. What is wrong with our scouting that we can seriously consider them? (I guess same scouting that “spotted” the mighty Emerson Royale)
Mateta is not for sale with Palace already having renewed his contract until 2027 following transfer speculation and they are now talking about an improved new deal being imminent with talks going well.
Why didn’t we retain Tammy Abraham, this was a very big mistake…
Or Jovic, who would have cost even less. Abraham was on a big salary and required a fee, Jovic was neither of those.
I totally agree, we should have kept Tammy. I dont believe that we can land anyone better during this window, we have way to many gaps to fill to go for the top level striker. Especially given that top level strikes are usually the most expensive players from all positions.
No wonder Milan turned their eyes on Chelsea as they just received FFP sanctions and need to fix their budget deficit. Furlani & co will be hoping the get discounted player(s) from there.
