AC Milan Women comfortably beat Inter 3-0 in Serie A Femminile to clinch third place in the table.
The Rossonere knew that a win and dropped points for Sassuolo would result in a confirmed third-placed finish in Serie A Femminile.
A first-half strike from Greta Adani put Maurizio Ganz’s side in the driving seat on Saturday afternoon and the points were wrapped up early in the second half by Celeste Boureille and Linda Tucceri Cimini.
Sassuolo were beaten away at Juventus which means they cannot catch Milan in third on the final day of the season.
Ganz and his players will be pleased to win by a three-goal margin after Inter beat them 3-0 earlier in the campaign.
Finishing third means that Milan have missed out on Champions League qualification.
