CM: Milan and Dalot could cross paths again – the Rossoneri monitor his situation

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are keeping an eye on developments surrounding the future of Diogo Dalot who could yet leave Manchester United, a report claims.

Dalot has been in the headlines recently due to his fantastic start to the season which has seen him lock down a starting spot at Manchester United and with the Portuguese national team, netting a brace in the game against Czech Republic over the international break.

Calciomercato.com are reporting that Dalot’s name could be in vogue with regards to the transfer market given that his contract is due to expire at the end of the season, although Manchester United have a clause to extend it for another year.

Dalot spent the 2020-21 season on loan at Milan which he himself has admitted was crucial in his development, a place where he made friends and memories, but the report mentions that their roads could cross again perhaps as early as next summer.

The Rossoneri are monitoring the developments around the former Porto man even if their priority to get the best out of Sergino Dest, who arrived on loan with option to buy (set at €20m).

To make things even more interesting, Barcelona are interested and could begin talks in the coming months, while Juventus have also asked for information in view of next season, and Atletico Madrid are keen too.

    1. Agreed. He covers both left and right back. The perfect backup who still has enough quality to start if needed. Should have never sent back.
