CM: Milan continuing to monitor Club Brugge playmaker who dazzled against PSG

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have got Club Brugge playmaker Charles De Ketelaere in their sights as a transfer target, according to a report.

De Ketelaere is a 20-year-old creative midfielder who spent his youth career with the Bruges-based club before graduating to the senior side in 2019, where he has begun to impress everyone with his performances.

Milan have been repeatedly linked with a move for the young forward in recent months, and Calciomercato.com reports that the Rossoneri do indeed still have De Ketelaere on their radar as they continue to seek young talent.

Last night’s match in the Champions League against PSG appeared very one-sided on paper but in the end the Belgian side earned themselves a 1-1 draw, and the attacking midfielder De Ketelaere caught the eye.

He has started well in the league two, with 3 goals and 2 assists in 7 games overall. Given his exploits, it might not be long before a top European side comes forward with a bid.

    1. Lol, Diaz’s loan expires in 2023. You all think de Ketelaere will be hanging out in Brugge waiting for our call? This guy is moving next summer. I agree more with the first poster, who said we should try to get him in January. As a matter of fact, I think Kessie should be sold in January for whatever we can get (if he hasn’t renewed by then) and any money received should be put toward de Ketelaere. Not the same position, I know, but we’re not going to find a Kessie replacement in January. Besides, we may not need one as we have Adli comming in the summer of 2022. In the meantime Tonali, Bennacer, Krunic, and Baka will have to hold the fort. Then money from CL qualification can be used to finally sort out RW and ST, and we’ll be set in 2022-23.
