AC Milan do not intend to take the negotiations with Chelsea over Axel Disasi any further, according to a report.
It is well known that Milan are looking for the right opportunity between now and tomorrow’s 20:00 CET deadline to strengthen the defensive department, with many different names having been linked in recent days.

Disasi deal off
One of the profiles that has been mentioned multiple times is Disasi, who is barely getting a game for Chelsea and therefore could arrive via a loan formula, which is what the Milan management are believed to be keen on.
Now, Matteo Moretto has provided the following update: “Milan are not intending to proceed with the negotiations for Axel Disasi. The Chelsea defender was proposed and evaluated by the Rossoneri club, but the intention is to give full confidence to Koni De Winter.”
According to what Fabrizio Romano reported yesterday, the 27-year-old had given full priority to joining Milan this window and he stalled on giving an answer to West Ham, who made an approach.
Whether Moretto’s update means that Milan have given up on signing a defender entirely is unclear, but it seems certain Disasi will not be following the path traced by many players from Stamford Bridge to the San Siro.

Like the implication about confidence I. De Winter. But it would be good to get someone right footed as insurance only.
Milan has only 1 left footed CB, the rest are all right footed.
Good news. There ARE enough defenders.
For a 3 defense system ? Not really
We have 4 confirmed defenders (Pavlović, Gabbia, Tomori & De Winter) and a young unkown one in Odogu for 3 positions. So we’re one injury or one suspension away from having no central defenders on the bench, that’s very risky.
Now you could say that Bartesaghi can replace Pavlović as a LCB, but that also means having to start Estupiñán, which is not something we want to do.
It would be one thing if Allegri switches to a 4-3-3, but I don’t see that happening.
Bad News. You still don’t understand that 4 CB’s for 3 positions isn’t enough.
Should be ideally 6 CBs in the team given the 352. But running a light squad in a non-CL year, is risky, but I get it. Make do with what you have seems to be the message.
