This week, Mario Gila could officially become an AC Milan player, with the defender on the verge of signing for the club.
It has been a rapid acceleration in movement from Milan, with the club quickly acting to catch up to their competitors in the mercato and eventually looking likely to beat them. At one stage, both Napoli and Atalanta had agreed terms with the different parties; the Partenopei with the defender and La Dea with the club.

In the end, though, it seems neither will matter.
Indeed, the Rossoneri may have re-entered the race slightly later than their competition. However, it seems that it will not matter, with a deal likely to be completed soon.
Gila today or tomorrow…
As MilanNews reports, the Diavolo hope to close the deal at the start of this week and it could even be finalised in the next 24 hours. A welcoming gift to Ruben Amorim, so to speak.
Negotiations are in a good place and a fee of around €30 million is expected to be agreed on, though the final yes has not been given by either side. With that said, an agreement has been reached with the defender on a five-year deal worth €4.5 million per season.
Things are certainly looking likely…

“Santiago Gimenez was injured in Mexico’s 3-2 round of 16 defeat to England. The AC Milan striker , who came on in the 61st minute in place of Mora, was unable to finish the match due to
an ankle injury sustained in the closing minutes.
The Rossoneri player was taken to the hospital
to assess the extent of the injury, and in Mexico,
it’s been diagnosed as a grade II ankle sprain.”
It was a nasty looking one and I think the same ankle he operated this winter… I guess he is both off the market and off the pre-season…
Hopefully not off-carreer.
I’ve seen that one long time ago.
Marco Van Basten :-(((
We shall see.
