AC Milan defender Pierre Kalulu trained separately from the rest of the Rossoneri squad and left earlier than others on Tuesday as he tries to get fit for the Champions League quarter-finals, a report claims.
As has been reported by Sky Sport (via Milan News), the French defender is still struggling with the muscle injury that he suffered when he was away with the French national team.
The team were back in training on Tuesday as they seek to get ready for the home game against Empoli on Friday night where Stefano Pioli will likely use the 4-2-3-1 formation again.
Whilst there was the good news that Brahim Diaz trained with the group and appears to not have an injury, the same cannot be said for Kalulu who is aiming to be back for the Champions League first leg against Napoli.
It seems that the second leg could be a more realistic return date though.
