AC Milan have already decided what they would like to do with Brahim Diaz once his loan expires, according to a report from Spain.
According to AS, Milan’s stance is ‘very clear’: after two years on loan, they want Brahim Diaz to stay with them for the long term. At the moment, there are no meetings planned with Real Madrid, but the clubs will discuss the situation once the winter transfer window is over.
The Rossoneri are delighted with the characteristics and commitment of the player, who told AS a few months ago that he is happy ‘both personally and professionally’ with life at the club.
However, there is a huge factor to take into account and that is the will of Real Madrid. Los Blancos insisted that they would not include an option to buy as part of the initial two-year loan agreement from summer 2021.
Real made a significant investment on Brahim when he was barely 20 years old and the idea that he, over time, could have space in the first team. They have seen his development at Milan and how he helped them win a Scudetto, while the next match will be the 100th match for Rossoneri, and it could open the doors for a return to the Spanish capital.
After the departures of Bale and Isco, Hazard and Asensio are also likely to leave next summer and Brahim would initially have room to try and force his way into the plans of Carlo Ancelotti experience behind him. Milan want him to stay, so talks will be needed.
