CorSera: Milan have their destiny in their own hands – a final push is needed in the last 9

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan overcame a big mental hurdle by beating Empoli 1-0 at San Siro on Saturday night but they must now accelerate into the final nine games.

This morning’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) writes how Milan now have their destiny in their own hands because Inter’s draw against Torino last night negates the possibility of jumping above the Rossoneri by winning the game in hand against Bologna.

That means that by winning all games between now and the end of the season, Milan would be sure of winning the Scudetto. Obviously it will not be easy and some might say it is almost impossible to do, but finally being able to control their own destiny could be a big advantage for Milan.

The team have dropped too many points so far against sides in the bottom half of the table but on Saturday against Andreazzoli’s side the Rossoneri risked very little, scoring and holding on to the lead with relative ease.

This is the right time to accelerate and try to give the final push, with games against Cagliari, Bologna, Torino and Genoa all coming up, which are all games absolutely within the reach of the squad. They must prove their blips against lesser-ranking sides are over.

    1. Grace alone won’t do, the boys have to play all remaining 9 matches like their very existence on earth depends on them.

Then we can claim what is rightfully ours after more than a decade

  1. Zlatan won’t retire until he lifts another scudetto with his favourite club.

    Don’t let our fans down.

Dont let down the legends who have worn this jersey and gave their all down.

Dont let Maldini and his crew down, who are bursting their asses to get quality players even with the minute budget given to him.

Kessie will be delighted to lift scudetto before his departure. Who knows he just might sign a contract renewal with us.

    The whole world is watching!!!

Now is the time to claim our birthright!!!

    Now is ❤️🖤 time.

Now is the time to paint the skies of Italy 🔴🔴🔴

We go all out, cos there’s no stopping us now.

    Stomp their heads!!

    Woop their asses!!

    Forza!!!!!!!!!!

  2. We have the youngest squad in Serie A, this is where the veterans as Giroud, and Ibra are so important, no “pep” or “rah rah” speeches are needed, hard work and attention to detail every minute of every day. Guys like Leao who have so much talent cannot be moping around when they loose the ball, they have to get pissed and fight. Who knows what the refs are thinking as well, we must be careful of suspensions (Theo, Sandro). Take away all hope for everyone else whether they are the the bottom or top of the table…..kicking the shit out of teams like Cagliari puts thoughts into the heads of Inter, Napoli,Juventus as well. As previously said by the Grace of God………I want the Scudetto so bad. Viva Milano

  3. Pioli has his hands full, veterans role is to lead Serie A’s youngest squad into unchartered waters, younger players need to play with performances that they never thought they were capable of. When we get a lead ,we need to play even harder and step on the throats of our opponents and win big, the other Serie A leaders loose hope as well when they see this, 1-0 games will not cut it. Players like Leao cannot be moping around when they lose the ball….every step they take ,literally, will make a difference, we as fans will do our part……FORZA FORZA FORZA,MILAN
