Neither Rafael Leao nor AC Milan are happy with the other, with more coming out about their situation in recent days.
During the past few months, it has become abundantly clear that Milan and Leao will split this summer. The door has been opened on a few occasions; however, there have never been positive suggestions to follow it up.

Leao on his way
It is clear that Leao did not have the best tournament, but he was hardly given much of a chance to succeed. Roberto Martinez changed his lineup regularly and his only minutes were really from the bench.
Nevertheless, Calciomercato.com have reported that the Rossoneri have been left frustrated by his World Cup. They had hoped that he would A, play a larger part, and B, do more when given his chances, to ultimately raise his price from the €60 million asking price.
Maybe even just to get some interest, let alone raise the asking price at this point.
Nevertheless, it goes down as a subpar tournament for him.
Calciomercato.com have also noticed that the winger has removed the club from his Instagram profile section. Indeed, all that is there now is his brand and the Portuguese national team. A very clear sign that he sees himself and the club not as one anymore.

Bounce boy
Overrated player. Modern football formations don’t require old fashioned traditional wingers. 433, 4231, 343, 3421 etc all require inverted wingers who also operate like strikers.
Players like Leao and chukwueze are old fashioned winger who only stay on the touch line instead if playing inverted which is why they don’t score a lot more goals. Useless.
I wish Milan had kept Theo and sold Leao. Since it’s more difficult to replace Theo. Sigh.
Theo was not in good form at all for us and was a defensive liability.
BS. I don’t know where you got that from. Theo has always been in good form at Milan and more consistent than Leao.
Then youre an idiot😂theo was arguably our worst player in his last season.
I am supper happy that we finally get rid of this guy. Forza Milan
We could care less and you be forgotten within this year
What you want to say is that you couldn’t care less. If you say you could care less, it means that you care more than less, and could still lower your caring. That’s a very common mistakes that even native speakers make, but it is a mistake nevertheless. That’s not to be read as criticism. I’m just trying to help.
typo: mistake, not mistakes
It’s an Americanism, I believe. Like calling football, “soccer” or pretending they have a democratic system in place.
He can be upset and want out but you don’t say that in the press and you don’t unfollow the club when you are the club’s highest earner. You’re paid 7m pa. I lost total respect for him. Ship him out for a reasonable sum and bring in a player with the right attitude. Younger hungrier willing to fight for the club! On his day his world class but that happens once every 4-5 games. At 27 and after 6 years with us he hasn’t lived up to his potential. Best to part ways! Would be great to bring back Brahim Diaz!
7 years.
Totally agree. Milan held on to Leao way too long in my opinion and we should have sold him 2 seasons ago given how inconsistent he has been since Milan won the scudetto and he is was MVP.
Instead of selling Theo we should have sold Leao. Theo was more critical since we already had Pulisic in the team who can easily replace Leao.
It’s as if you picked my exact thoughs
*thoughts*
Let’s be honest, no one came knocking on the door for Leao. We saw what happened when an offer came for Tonali. For Leao and Theo, no big club made an inquiry, and we got stuck with them.
damn, class can’t be bought…
Time for him to depart.
Leao was Leao at the WC. Hopefully we can get at least 50M. Come on you Spurs!
Hahahaha
His cycle at the club was over the season before Allegri came
I don’t care what he or any other player has on their social media. The problem is this being a “story”.
I’m actually sad that it ends this way. Leao has been a big big part of bringing Milan back from the banter years. He has been on my top 3 players from the Pioli and forward years. He should be a Milan legend. He has always showed love fotmr the club and given his best hears to us. He may have had a bigger potential but what he has given is way more than 98 % of our other attackers. We should be glad to have had him imho. I’m sure he will be missed more that most realize. Maybe you won’t miss seeing him on the field but you will miss his impact and numbers.
He won’t really be missed as much as you believe, after how he has acted towards the club in the past few months. And if we manage to secure a decent replacement we will be over him in months, and unlike you say, he hasn’t really impacted the club’s performance in the past 2-3 seasons a lot.
Numbers? Pulisic’s G+A from his first season at Milan (23/24) is better than Leao. And all that, without any ‘drama’.
You know what’s scared me the most? That all those Cassano balderdash were right lol. What he said about Allegri would be fired and all those awful things about Leao. And now all slowly become reality.
Clown with wet pampers….byebye
Its hilarious he thought the likes or arsneal or bayern were gonna come sign him. Even barca was more willing to pay 80mil for Gordon instead of signing him💀
Of course, Gordon is way more intelligent and tactically potent forward than him.
In five years people are still waiting for him to “live up to his potential”. 🤷♂️
