CM: Milan could try disrupt plans for Salzburg star as Maldini and Massara are left impressed

By Oliver Fisher -

The game between Red Bull Salzburg and AC Milan allowed Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara to view the qualities of the talented Maurits Kjaergaard first hand, and they were impressed.

Calciomercato.com report that Milan have had Kjaergaard’s name on their list for at least two years – dating back even to when he played at Salzburg’s feeder club Liefering – and they are well aware of the speed, vision and potential he possesses.

Despite his very young age (19), the Danish talent already shown that he can play in Europe’s elite competition and hold his own against some of the better players on the continent, mixing an excellent work rate with technical quality and an eye for end product.

Kjaergaard is a diamond that Salzburg intend to work with for a couple of more seasons in search of a definitive tactical position, because he can play as a box-to-box player, as a winger or even an attacking midfielder.

However, Milan have already talked to the agency that represents him and though the most likely scenario is another season in Austria then a move to Salzburg’s sister club RB Leipzig, Maldini and Massara were impressed seeing him live and could make a concrete attempt in the coming months to try to put some doubts on a project already underway.

  1. Forget Kjaergaard, we already have Kjaer. No need for his guard 😂😂

All jokes aside, I think Dedic looked great against a fast Leao. They don’t get much faster. And he’s also young

  2. Agreed. Too expensive. But extremely impressed by his preformance yesterday. Grinta, technique, passing, vision and loads of quantity.

  3. Sure. Milan will make an offer that is about half of what they are asking and then move on to someone cheaper. And then all the fanboys on here will get angry at the player for not taking less money than he is worth to play for Milan. That seems to be how every negotiation goes.

    1. @K

It seems like you simply quoted me here, that’s exactly the state of this Milan fans, they believe every player should come very cheap to Milan, well I don’t blame them, it is the mediocre mentality that Elliot imposed on Milan that is affecting them…….go and check post about Sanchez, some plastic fans here said pobega is better and krunic is more quality, those same people are now afraid of what will happen if anything happens to BENACEER or tonali cosnit is obvious that we only have two double pivot midfeilders, others are just shaffssss!!!!

  4. So ran into this article in nyt that psg paid close to 400 mil for mbapes renewal, bonus etc. So how the hell they get a slap on the wrists from uefa

  5. If i am to pick any player, it is Fernando…that dude got a similar Leao potential but with high work rate, he will be very good for RW
