It seems AC Milan will also sign Lorenzo Calvani from Lazio this week, with the young Italian joining in a deal separate from Mario Gila’s.

In recent days, there have been suggestions about how Milan and Lazio would reach the same figure for the transfer of Gila and Calvani’s name was mentioned. Indeed, the Rossoneri have admired the youngster and a move had already been considered.

So, this idea arose once again, with it potentially being a way to make all parties feel like they’d spent well in the process.

Calvani joins Milan

As MilanNews writes, the Rossoneri have also made the signing of Calvani, who will join for €2.5 million and initially join the Milan Futuro project. Now, it is worth noting that the deal is separate from the Gila deal.

However, the report suggests that the Spaniard was purchased for €27.5m, with the Italian then signing for €2.5m. Now, the fee for Gila is believed to be €30m, but this is what the two additions would combine for, whilst allowing a small discount on the figure owed to Real Madrid.

Reports previously suggested that the Calvani signing could help and whether it has – even if not officially part of the Gila deal – remains in the air.

  1. Its funny how both spurs and Milan epicly failed last season, and now suddenly have money to spend on everyone that wasnt there 12 months ago…

  2. So… How many of these “primavera purchases” have made it to the first team? Seriously asking because I can’t think of one. We’ve wasted so many millions on players such as Vos already.

    1. Not everyone is first team quality, like De Zerbi and Maresca A LOT of them aren’t Milan quality. Look at the downgrade we had from going from Thomas Helveg, Cafu, Pancaro and Oddo, to academy product like Ignazio Abate at RB, no offense to Abate but the afore mentioned guys were levels above him.

    2. But we do make a return in selling them, and that’s the point. All you have to do is look at our transfer windows under Berlusconi and you’ll notice when you’re selling between 8-15 players a season it keeps the club afloat.
