Tuttosport: Milan dream behind Belotti’s many rejections – now his future is an enigma

We are now into July and the future of Andrea Belotti has not yet been resolved despite the number of clubs interested in signing him.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) takes a look at Belotti’s rather peculiar situation. The Italy international would be available on a free transfer after his contract with Torino expired on 30 June.

The paper explains that there is a ‘Milan dream’ behind the many clubs that he has already rejected. It is no secret that Belotti has always been a Rossoneri fan, and so far he has refused all the offers that had arrived because he is hoping for a call from Paolo Maldini.

However, it must be noted that Milan preferred to turn to Liverpool striker Divock Origi who joined on a free transfer, but that hasn’t stopped Belotti waiting for the right move. Il Gallo said no to Fiorentina, Monza, Monaco and Nice, with Roma and Napoli destinations he would also consider.
