AC Milan want Guglielmo Vicario to fill the role of deputy to Mike Maignan but it is a difficult pursuit at present, a report claims.
Milan have been linked with a move for various new goalkeepers such as Marco Sportiello and Alessio Cragno given that Ciprian Tatarusanu will be out of contract at the end of the season along with Antonio Mirante.
According to what Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) are reporting this morning, Milan’s dream for the deputy goalkeeper role is Guglielmo Vicario, who is impressing at Empoli and is valued at €15m.
However, there is a complication because the 26-year-old is unlikely to leave a club where he has a guaranteed starting role in order to join Milan, who can offer the lure of a higher salary and fighting for trophies but he would ultimately be a back-up to Maignan given his reputation as one of the best in the world in his position.
