AC Milan will return to action on January 4 when they face off against Salernitana at the Stadio Arechi, but they will do so with another injury crisis to battle.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan will make the journey to Salerno with four players definitely injured for the game: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alessandro Florenzi, Mike Maignan and Divock Origi.
Davide Calabria and Brahim Diaz have resumed working with the rest of the squad, while Rade Krunic and Junior Messias need to be assessed, with both in doubt for the game against Salernitana.
The training camp in Dubai was supposed to mark the return of the squad to nearly full health, but instead another crisis of sorts has gripped the squad, with over 700 combined days of absence racked up since 1 July across the whole group. Stefano Pioli, therefore, will have an uphill battle again.
