MN: Milan expected to close signing of Liverpool forward imminently – the details

AC Milan are very close to tying up their first signing of the summer transfer window as Divock Origi should join from Liverpool on a free, a report claims.

According to Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews, Milan are very close to signing Origi on a free transfer when his contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the season. There is an agreement in principle and Milan will meet with intermediaries in the coming hours to find a definitive agreement.

The journalist goes on to add that the Belgian’s salary should be €3.5-4m net per season, and he would arrive to bring much needed depth to the attack given his age (26) and his experience at the highest level.

He has only scored 5 goals for Liverpool this season but his playing time is less than 600 minutes, with Jurgen Klopp preferring his other attacking options, something that has no doubt pushed Origi towards a new adventure where he could and should have a leading role.
