Tuttosport: Milan eyeing cut-price January deal for striker – it depends on Ibrahimovic

By Oliver Fisher -

Andrea Belotti could arrive at AC Milan as early as the January transfer window as the links continue to gather some steam, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan are once again interested in Belotti after they tried hard to sign him both in summer 2017 and this January. His deal with Torino expires next June and he seems to have taken the decision to try something new, with the Rossoneri now sniffing a potential free transfer.

Four years ago it was Fassone and Mirabelli who wanted Belotti, but the €100m demands from Torino president Urbano Cairo meant they turned to André Silva and Kalinic. In January 2021 the Italian was considered as an option to be Ibrahimovic’s back-up, but the Granata were in the middle of the relegation zone and did not want to sell.

The Rossoneri are considering paying a small compensation to Il Toro in January to bring him in earlier than next June but a lot will depend on the condition of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who in the coming months must give certainties and guarantees from a physical point of view.
