Milan eye shock return for hotshot Aubameyang – report

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are eyeing a sensational reunion with former striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to reports in Italy.

Sky journalist Peppe di Ste claims that Marco Fassone and Massimo Mirabelli have started a transfer market tour as of Thursday morning, where they will look at potential targets.

While the takeover of the club is not yet complete, the incoming Milan officials are apparently keen to begin planning for upcoming mercatos by plotting a list of targets.

According to SportItalia, Milan’s future Chinese owners’ dream target is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who spent time with the Rossoneri as a youth player.

The Gabon international has been linked to the biggest clubs in Europe including Real Madrid and a host of Premier League clubs, but the Chinese ownership may be willing to test if he still has a soft spot for Milan.

Meanwhile, Sky claim that Fassone and Mirabelli headed to Germany before flying to Belgium on Thursday.

The outlet go on to state that Cristoph Kramer and Sebastian Rudy are among the names considered for Milan’s mercato, with Rudy having been linked in the summer.

Reports surfaced last month that Bayern Munich had agreed in principle to sign both Niklas Süle and Sebastian Rudy from Hoffenheim in the summer (2017), but no confirmation as to Rudy’s future has been published.
