AC Milan are continuing to ponder an attempt for Dani Olmo of Barcelona, despite the recent comments from his agent.
According to what is being reported by Corriere della Sera (via MilanPress), various European clubs are closely watching what is happening at Barcelona, because Olmo and Pau Victor have been officially de-registered since January 1.
The Catalans have not been able to obtain the financial resources necessary to re-register the two players and several sides are at the door to seize the potential opportunity. Among them are also Milan who have an idea: a six-month loan before Barca re-sign him again from July 1st.
RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are also mentioned as being interested in the Spain international, so there is no shortage of strong competition.
His agent Andy Bara, however, has clear ideas. He told GiveMeSport: “We are not negotiating with any club. Dani is a Barcelona player and he wants to be a Barcelona player. He has made a great effort in his life to be at Barcelona.
“It has been his desire for a long time. It is the first and last option! Dani, his father, his family, me, we are not thinking about other options. I believe that Barcelona will finalise everything and make it happen.
“LaLiga should help them. I am sure he will stay at Barca for many years. He is happy at the club and Dani has the desire to stay there.”
de Jong would be a better option. With Pedri, Casado, Lopez and Gavi; Frenkie hasn’t played as much and earns a huge salary, not to count his contract is until 2026.
Barca will sell him for quite a bargain if pushed into it. The issue is if he can accept a lower wage…
He will make around 18-20 million NET, meanwhile Milan can offer around 4.5-5.5 million net maximum… So how on 🌍 he will join to weaker club and take 4x paycut? Do you even realize what you are saying?
He makes 4.5M + 1M net .. Where the F do you get numbers like 18-20M net?
Do you even know what salaries barca pays their players?
As far as net goes only 2 players are above 7M De Jong and Lewa..
I was talking about Olmo. De Jong earns 9.1M + 2.9M net.
he’s overrated and overpaid
Yeah looking at Capology, the net numbers from @flyingturtle seem correct.
@Mirjalol your numbers seem in the ballpark for gross income.
In any case FDJ would blow our wage budget open if he arrived, I don’t see why he would compromise down to say Leao’s salary.
Olmo won’t be here either, too good a player big UCL clubs will go for him if he does indeed move. This story is just media hype
DeJong earns €19m per year as just the base portion of his wages. Per a handful of sources located via Google.
No he doesn’t. You need to learn the difference between gross and net.
Barca cant pay that, so I guess when a player wana move he move‘s to a better club!
he is coming from a heavy injury ridden season, he hasn’t played in a while… he will be a guaranteed starter and the later years are always better in Italy… Bundesliga and EPL are more intense and France is not even a proper league…
PSG, Arsenal, Bayern, Chelsea, Manchester United
except for these 5, I don’t really see him anywhere. even more at Chelsea, but they always in to buy someone…
liverpool maybe
Gravenberch, MacAllister, Curtis Jones and Szlobozlai are all in front of him… if he wanna continue warming benches he can stay at Barca and make more money…
“LaLiga should help them.”
Why??? Because it’s Uefalona? Because they would bend the rules for other clubs as well? FFS, we all know they wouldn’t. Why won’t Barcelona respect the rules and get their budget fixed? It’s THEIR fault. THEY did this. If they can’t add 1+1 and get the right result, it’s ON THEM.
Isn’t it enough that UEFA let’s Barca do what ever they want? Should LaLiga let them cheat on them too? FFS…
As it seems Barca’s own people can’t do math, they should hire a consult to calculate their player wages and figure out how the f*** they can’t manage to keep their budget straight. Seems like everyone else can.
Exactly. Dunno why he’s talking of getting an unfair favour in such calm manner.
The agent said La Liga should help the player. Why? Because it’s Barca. Barca have only themselves to blame for their financial problems. Me, I am enjoying it.
