AC Milan have believed in Ruben Loftus-Cheek for a long time now. However, there are certainly doubts about his future.
When you look at a player like Loftus-Cheek, finding another is not easy to do. In fact, finding a midfielder with that profile is rare full stop, let alone with the budget that Milan have available to them.
Yet, he is not a starter for the Rossoneri, and he has rarely been since he joined. Stefano Pioli got the best from him, but even then, he was regularly injured and since then he has only continued to struggle physically.
Facing the future
Now, with just over a year left on his deal, the Diavolo have to think. As MilanNews writes, it becomes a case of weighing up his potential against the problems that he brings.
This year, he has been what Massimilano Allegri has needed, when he has needed him and he cannot be critiqued for that. Additionally, he has already been more available than he was last season, which is another tick.
However, there have been numerous instances where he has played poorly, making silly mistakes in big moments. Additionally, he has never really gone beyond his first season in Italy.
So, the next few months could be crucial to his future, as much as it could be crucial for Milan. Assuming nothing changes, in the summer he will probably be sold. If slight tweaks are made, who knows what can change.

Mckinnie is out of contract in the summer and it doesn’t look like he will extend. Surely they wont wanna lose him for nothing in the summer.
Very versatile midfielder who will do a much better job than Fofana/RLC/Ricci as a 3rd midfielder next to Modric and Rabiot.
Apparently there was some reports about a swap RLC-Gatti but seems like Gatti wants to stay at Juventus
gotta give to RLC . He has terrible games but every GM and every coach get mesmerized by his physical attributes. I mean tall, powerful, fast etc. you would think he’s good in the air, he can muscle his way into the midfield, do holdup play etc. LOL
if you havent watched a single game, you would think he’s massive, i want an imposing midfield.

RLC is so frustrating, literally the dude has everything to be a great, even elite midfielder. But he processes slow, plays slow and I swear he loses his peripheral vision whenever the ball is at his feet. He’s an expensive bench player. Sure he adds depth but nothing irreplaceable I’d be happy to see him move on.
Same – another player who’s regressed for some reason. The dream for me would be RLC Gila swap but can’t see it happening…
RLC is a known commodity at this point and outside of one game against PSG has not shown anything new. Same inconsistent performances. In fact I think hi ceiling has lowered since last season.
Sell him for 30mill and get someone els thats war ready.
