Journalist claims Milan are interested in FC Krasnodar star and have bid €8m

There is some confusion circulating regarding AC Milan’s potential interest in signing FC Krasnodar midfielder Eduard Spertsyan.

According to a report from Athletistic, journalist Ivan Karpov has claimed that the Rossoneri are interested in signing Spertsyan from the Russian Premier League club and they have made an offer worth €8m. This was also mentioned by Hrach Khachatryan on Twitter.

It has been reported that Krasnodar expect to earn at least €12m from the sale of the Armenia international which is a few million euros beyond what has supposedly been offered by the Rossoneri management.

However, the report cites Sport24 who claim to have spoken to sporting director Ricky Massara about the rumours, who responded: “No that’s not true. We are not interested in Spertsyan.”

The 22-year-old predominantly plays as an attacking midfielder and has registered 11 goals and 9 assists in 26 games for Krasnodar this season across all competitions. Whether Milan have placed a bid or are interested, for now, seems to be a mystery.
