AC Milan, after pursuing Ardon Jashari all summer, will be without the midfielder, potentially for an extended period.
In his press conference this morning, Massimiliano Allegri stated that there had been an accident in training where Santiago Gimenez had injured Jashari in a small-sided game. However, there were no further details given, aside from the fact that he would miss the Lecce clash.

Now, it seems that Friday’s fixture may only be the start of a long road without the Swiss midfielder, whom the Rossoneri spent almost €40 million on this summer.
Fibula fracture
According to Luca Bianchin on X, there is a ‘serious problem’ with Jashari’s right fibula following the collision. At present, a fracture is feared, but it is clear that he will miss a few weeks, that much is a certainty.
Gianluca Di Marzio (via Milan Matters) also reports similar, stating that the injury ‘seems to be serious’ and that he could ‘be out for a long time’. Of course, this is purely based on the facts available right now, but a fibula fracture can take between six and eight weeks to heal. However, pain and swelling can be present for months.

I really hope. With Modric and Rabiot, and whoever is behind them it would actually be a good midfield. Rabiot scores goals always, 5-10 every season. Modric is Modric. Even Fofana can play behind them, just not close to the goal so he can’t shoot. But I’ve seen he might stay at Marseille. So much for him being the big troublemaker and starting the fight.
Nkunku is technically an ATM 🙂 Modric, Rabiot, Nkunku all of a sudden doesn’t sound too bad.
I personally don’t like it that much. I mean you need someone to defend a bit, cover when they go forward. And in my opinion Modric and Rabiot are both way better in 3 man midfield, playing as box to box midfielders. Modric a bit more attacking minded.

Anyhow, he is young, will recover and come back when we most need him.. who knows how many injuries we will have during the season.

Well I can’t say I knew him beforehand but the closest I probably gets to watching something like that except for match clips is the SempreMilan podcast videos or Tiziano Crudeli going nuts in the studio when watching AC Milan matches. I don’t understand much Italian except for some swear words but Crudeli can nevertheless always make me laugh.

I feel sorry for Jashari, not just for the injury, but the pressure to perform will be double when he returns.

What you get for keeping a kid waiting 2 months
Should have offered the fee up front and had him training earlier. Timing is off, movements less coordinated and this is what you get, injuries. Santi has been playing all summer so his intensity, strength, reactions and fitness levels will be higher.
These kind of things happen when players didn’t prepare with their teams and are rusty despite the season already starting. Jashari wasn’t showing up to team training to force the transfer because we refused to pay the right amount from jump. This IS AGAIN THE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBLE FOR MESSING AROUND INSTEAD OF GETTING THE JOB DONE QUICK AND EARLY LIKE YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO. THE MINUTE TIJJANI WAS OUT, DROP THE 40, 45 MILLION, SIGN THE KID IMMEDIATELY.
You are supposed to have your pieces ready and good to go one month before the seasons starts. Then the last two weeks are optimizing form and getting to game shape. Exactly to insure coordination, balance, timing, reaction times etc are at levels they need to be when intensity ramps up for competitive games and training.
But management keep on saving 2 to 5 million here and there to completely mess up your entire team. These bankers and scouts are not elite athletes, it shows. Had this kid been here earlier and paid that 40 million we wouldnt have him needing to recover and be up to speed halfway through the season should his rehab unfold best. He will then have to integrate into the team and get his game speed when everyone has played for months on end. You can scratch this kid off for the season folks. Late arrival in the window, no prep, injury, no integration in the squad. He is toast.
