Tony D’Amico has overseen Atalanta’s significant recent successes, and AC Milan are trying to do everything to bring him to the club.
Few sporting directors have done better in the past few years than D’Amico, who has overseen Atalanta’s recent leaps forward, and this has Milan talking about the possibilities of him arriving.
Unfortunately, it seemed their chances hit zero recently, with the director not wanting to leave Bergamo. However, there is a refusal to accept that answer from Giorgio Furlani, who really admires his work.
As Calciomercato.com report this morning, the CEO of Milan will make attempts after this weekend’s fixture to convince him of the project, something which was initially reported last night. However, there is another factor to consider.
With Gian Piero Gasperini’s tenure coming to an end, there are fears within the Rossoneri that La Dea will resist attempts over the director, considering one of their pillars is already falling; if a second (D’Amico) were to fall, there could be huge consequences to the general project.
So, this is the situation where the Diavolo have to be smart, and sell their project, so he wants to leave, rather than accepting the idea of a possibility. It will certainly not be easy.
Furlani sounds like the type of guy who would get charged for rape. No means no man. Stop wasting precious time and get Tare on board as soon as possible. He’s more than capable of doing the job but I guess because Ibra and Cardinale want Tare it makes Furlani more opposed to it. Unbelievable
I vote for
D’Amico + one of Gasperini or Conte, if Milan continues with 3 at the back, otherwise Ancelloti
who knows what if Conceicao wins all until end of season..
It’s probably not down to the sporting director what has gone well at Atalanta. Who knows what would have happened without Gasperini?
Gaspirini all day
Furlani should now it is the coach who mostly polish the player. Milan seemly bought a lot of presumed good players like Chuk to mostly recently Jiminez, but they flopped. Look at Lookman; he wasn’t great until he played under Gasp. Get Gasp.
We need gasperini we don’t need that rubbish d,amico the real deal in Atlanta is gasperini without him they are nothing
