Goal: Milan ask about preferential lane for striker but Fiorentina respond with €80m demand

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have asked about the signing of striker Arthur Cabral from Fiorentina but it will be a very difficult operation, a report claims.

According to Goal Brasil, Milan spoke with Fiorentina in recent days as they have an interest in signing Cabral. The Rossoneri are aware that it would be difficult to sign the Brazilian in the summer given he only arrived in January 2022 to replace Dusan Vlahovic.

The idea, however, was to have priority in purchasing the striker in the future. The request made by Milan was refused by Fiorentina though, as La Viola have made it known that the 24-year-old Brazilian will only join an Italian rival if they pay his €80m release clause.

Milan are not willing to pay that amount to acquire Cabral – who has two Serie A goals since joining from Basel – but continue to monitor him in view of the future. The player’s entourage are also aware of the interest coming from such a prestigious club.

It is possible that Milan will make an offer in the European winter transfer window in January 2023 but the situation is not yet concrete and is under evolution. Cabral was signed for €14m and signed a contract until June 2026.

  1. Another proof why the big Italian clubs go outside of Italy to shop for players. Teams like Fiorentina, Torino ,Sassuolo, Roma, Lazio are delusional.
80 mil for a player they bought 5 months ago for 14 mil , who wasn’t even a regular starter and scored only 2 goals

  2. What is the major problem of this Milan owners and management? With what we are doing, in the Champions league, teams like Lille, Lyon, Ajax, Man City, Benfica, Sevilla, Villarreal, Dortmund, Liverpool, Madrid etc will easily beat Milan. Whiles clubs are busy reinforcing every departments of their teams, the Rossoneri is just joking. Only Origi, Giroud, Kjaer, Theo Hernandez, Tomori, Rebic, Florenzi, Ibrahimovic, Maignan and Brahim Diaz are the only high profile players. Leao and the rest are not matured enough. Instead of us to renew the contract of the legendary Maldini and Massara they are beating about the Bush.

Players like Noa Lang, Bremer, Ziyech ,Botman, Asensio and Dybala to beat their rivals in big games see the mess. Im a die

      1. Its true but when you come to Ghana, West African, English speaking country, we see Leao to be a good player but inexperienced on International big games.

Ghana is going to face Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea but we will beat all the teams especially Luis Suarez, whose handball denied Ghana from progressing into Semi finals at the 2010 World cup.

Now we are strengthening the team with Inaki Williams, Nico Williams, Callum Hudson Odoi, Tariq Lamptey, Eddie Nketiah etc to beat Leao and Ronaldo.

If nothing at all Milan must sign Noa Lang, Bremer and Ziyech. This is my WhatsApp line +233248637248 Afriyie Kwaku Boachie
