Nazione: Milan retain interest in Fiorentina defender who faces uncertain future

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are approaching the summer transfer window and they know that they must recruit a new central defender, with several options being kept alive.

There are an abundance of rumours claiming that Sven Botman of Lille is the number one target to replace Alessio Romagnoli and that talks are at an advanced stage, but there are alternatives being looked at in case things fall apart and other targets in case another signing is needed.

As reported by the newspaper La Nazione (via PianetaMilan), Nikola Milenkovic’s future with Fiorentina is far from certain as the Serbian defender has not yet renewed his contract with La Viola. In recent weeks he has been reflecting on the possibility of changing clubs in the summer, in search of a new challenge.

Stefano Pioli admires the 24-year-old very much having already coached him at Fiorentina but the paper adds that Juventus are also keen while from abroad the pressure from West Ham seems to have decreased.

  1. If his cost is half of Botmans it’s a no brainer. Get milenkovich and save the money to spend in attack where we are awful. Origi is nothing. We need a real striker.

  2. Just focus on botman or bremer alternative. Milenkovic already down perform and his quality equal to Romagnoli now ,not worth to invest

  3. GO THE TEENAGER way and do not listen to maldini. Seen Camaviga yesterday? Haaland, Foden you all know the entertainers.
    Buy Luka Sucic, Piatkowski, Sesko…
