TMW: Milan not among five clubs that bid for Kiwior before Arsenal deal

AC Milan were not one of the five clubs that submitted bids to Spezia for Polish defender Jakub Kiwior before Arsenal struck a deal with the Aquilotti, a report claims.

As has been reported by TMW (via Milan News), despite being consistently linked with Kiwior for many months before his move to Arsenal, the Rossoneri never made a formal offer for him.

He watched Arsenal beat Manchester United from the stands on Sunday afternoon and is expected to be officially announced on Monday.

The Premier League leaders have paid €25 million for the player and that could rise to €30 million. Before Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund made a bid of €22 million for the 22-year-old.

In recent weeks, bids were also made by Premier League sides Leicester City and Brentford, whilst RB Leipzig and Atletico Madrid also made an attempt.

That means that despite the heavy links, no Italian club made a bid for Kiwior.
