CM: Milan have five man striker shortlist as Moncada searches European alternatives

Past Santiago Gimenez, AC Milan do not have anyone in their striker ranks, leading Massimiliano Allegri to ask for reinforcements.

The need for a new No. 9 comes in two ways: primarily, Milan do not have the coverage to lead the line that is needed, then Gimenez is not seen as a perfect fit for Allegri, who is asking for a top striker.

Francesco Camarda is departing, whilst Luka Jovic and Tammy Abraham have already left. Effectively, the list of strikers starts and stops with Gimenez. So, investment is needed in the region.

Moncada’s mission

Right now, as Calciomercato.com reports, there is a list of five targets looked at by the Rossoneri. Mateo Retegui is seemingly the preference, and there could be movement if he does not move to Al-Qadsiah.

Following him, Darwin Nunez, Dusan Vlahovic, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Lorenzo Lucca are being tracked by Milan. Though the latter three profiles have issues, whether that be to do with value or their own situations.

Alternatively, a new name could come forward for the Rossoneri. The report states that Geoffrey Moncada has been tasked with working on profiles from France and the Netherlands, hoping to propose a new idea that would fit the budget and requirements.

  1. Whenever milan is involved in getting a new player, there is always melodrama and lots of suspense and arm twisting. That seems to be the only tactic that rat furlani knows.

  2. Milan will end up signing one unknown striker watch and see lol milan has always been like dis for all mercato

    1. This Moncada and Fulani along with redbird are the major problems of AC Milan.
They will soon sign a 40 something years old striker and hope to win the league.
After Berlusconi, only lunatics have been running the club.

  3. I have a good feeling with Lucca. Reminds me of Luka Toni. Milan must take this player, because he is cheaper than Vlahović, and he is better.

  4. Let’s keep it real: is AC Milan still attractive enough to draw top players to opt out of European football just to come and play at San Ṣírò?

You have to have a certain level of charisma to persuade people to believe in your vision and follow your lead through the wilderness, as it were. Does Allegri or Tare have that charisma, or is RedBird ready to throw the money around? I know good money can persuade some players.

  5. Maybe you should’ve kept Jovic so we had 2 strikers hmm? Its almost like now every club knows we’re desperate to get one and will up their price

  6. The best option for our beautiful club is to bring Moise Kean at San Siro and we don’t have to be too dramatic, bring him in San Siro and together we gonna win everything.Forza Milan❤️🖤

  7. Is this the season to keep Colombo as the 3rd striker in the squad?
He would occupy an otherwise unused academy list slot.
Camarda is heading on loan so he would not be blocking his development.
    No European football.
Our wingers + Gimenez + one of the above names (or similar) + Colombo.

Keeping an open list slot to use differently.

  8. Terem Moffi
    Evann Guessand
    Mika Biereth
    Georges Mikautadze
    George Ilenikhena
    Ricardo Pepi
    Emmanuel Emegha
    Ryan Brobbey
    Mathis Abline
    Lucas Stassin
