GdS: Milan expected to use €4.5m option as full-back continues to convince

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are becoming more and more convinced by the idea of signing Alessandro Florenzi from Roma at the end of the season, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report how the good performance that Florenzi put in during the match against Inter in midweek proved once again that he is a real asset to the squad thanks to his versatility, experience, reliability and his leadership too.

He has played 24 games so far this season and scored his first goal for the Rossoneri with a free-kick at Empoli. Now the feeling is that he’s earning his permanent move to Milan at the end of the season, which would cost €4.5m.

The former PSG loanee has earned everyone’s trust also thanks to his personality, playing both wide on the right wing and as a right-back, even as a left-back in the win over Sampdoria out of necessity. Milan have a very solid deputy to Calabria that they seem to want to keep.

  1. Better than Calabria defensively, worse offensively. Absolutely worth the money if you ask me. Perfect squadplayer. But not on a long contract.

    1. And he is good going forward, defense was the worst part of Florenzis game since he was 19. I really don’t understand how can you claim this hahahahahaha

  2. 100% agree with signing him. He’s so solid — receives long hard passes so softly w/ a great first touch. Smart player and yes, of course, as everyone says — very versatile.

  3. 4,5 m is like a mountain of money for milan now. The management didn’t even consider to buy a player if his price had a gap amount 4-5 m from the offer for example a case for an attacking midfielder (i forgot his name) which maybe blow the chance of scudetto for us because we had such a poor attacking mid man. But if in the end we still buy florenzi for 4,5 m instead find a young one prospect like kalulu it will only show that the management are inconsistent in their purpose to build milan. Forza milan
