It seems this could come to an end soon, though. As MilanNews write this afternoon, the club are making ‘concrete moves’ to sign a new striker this summer, now that Jashari has arrived. Interestingly, the idea is for them to partner Santiago Gimenez.
Dusan Vlahovic has been the long-standing number one, but that could be changing, with the report stating that there are ‘fears’ that it could take a long time to reach an agreement. So, a turn may take place.
Instead of the Serbian, the Rossoneri are in discussions with intermediaries regarding a deal for Rasmus Hojlund, who has quickly become a solid option. At present, a loan to buy idea is being worked on, especially now Manchester United have sorted a deal for Benjamin Sesko.

Both are talented players who haven’t quite made the grade at their previous clubs, and will therefore cost too much, want too much in wages, and can always go to Saudi Arabia if no-one else will pay them. I wish Milan would try a young, hungry developing striking talent rather than these journeymen. (Too late now, but someone like Liam Delap who joined Chelsea from Ipswich earlier in the summer).

You could say Vlahovic hasn’t made the same grade from his previous club but not Hojlund.
By the time Vlahovic was Hojlund’s age he had 2 20+ seasons in serie A.
Hojlund has scored double digit goals in a league once and it was exactly 10.
It’s a salary issue and Vlahovic has a wage that would bring unbalance to this team.

Hojlund wasn’t even a regular starter at Atalanta. He scored 9 goals for them and united came in splashed 80 mil on him. He provided similar production at united too.
Vlahovic on the other hand fell off at Juventus after what he did at Fiorentina.

I agree that he is only 22 and still developing, but the point i was making is that Hojlund was a failure at United based on his price tag not based on prior production. He was bought solely on potential.
Vlahovic, on the other side, was arguably the best striker in the league with back to back 20+ goals seasons. by the time he was 22. Vlahovic is 25 years old.
There are levels between them as strikers. Vlahovic worst season over the last 5 years would be Hojlund best season.

Please no, hoijlund would be a huge mistake that would overshadow all the work they’ve done this mercato. He horrible, way better options, even better to just keep giminez and Okafor, even though I think vlahovic is sub par, hoijlund makes vlahovic look like he’s the best striker in the world.

Both Højlund and Vlahović are gambles. Milan should look elsewhere for a striker. I suggest scouting for potential talent in the Bundesliga — recent Champions League games have shown that the league has several promising players.
Hojlund would be great and will get better. Forget man united and his records his only 22 Scott mctominay is a dead player but looks he got Serie A player of the year. Listen what I’m trying to say anyone that leaves united they play better it’s that dead weight united shirt
He was never proven. Man U massively overpaid him. He was very bad at Man U, missing chances. So should not pay more than Jashari. Less than 38-40 million euro
And he is not an upgrade over Giminez. Why don’t we give more time to him. Giminez wasn’t cheap and he only had less than half a season at Milan.
If we are serious about Camarda and he shines through this season the loan for a top striker as Hojlund would make a lot of sense, wouldn’t it?

I can’t imagine Man Utd would want to do a loan unless they’re out of other options and we’re not surely going to pay huge money to sign Hojlund.
Why not consider Nikola Krstovic as a back-up. The guy has scored 18 goals and has seven assists with Lecce. His market price is 15 million which means we can get them for 25 million. Yes, it is a gamble because the quality of the team is higher thanLecce but at this stage given the options we have I would take the gamble.

I watched a few United matches, and when Hojlund enters the game, you don’t see him. That boy has not shown anything significant so far. Amazing what mistakes make scouts from England when they buy such players for 80 million .

I watched EVERY MUFC match, last year, and Hojlund was ABSOLUTELY USELESS. I watched opportunity after opportunity where someone (usually a winger or Fernandez) sent in a perfect chance and Hojlund absolutly buggered it.
I’m 58 years old, and I ABSOLUTELY believe that, given the chances Hojlund was presented with, I’d have outscored him.
He clearly has talent, but I just don’t think he’s up to the bright lights and top pressure.
If we could get him for 10M-15M, I might think it would be a chance worth taking, but MUFC are going to want a minimum of 30M-40M, and he is NOT worth it.

Too overrated. Milan has struggled to find a reliable No. 9 in recent years, so the next striker must be chosen with care! Milan should scout for a strong No. 9 striker elsewhere. Tim Kleindienst, Jonathan Burkardt, and Ermedin Demirović are all worth considering.
ONLY J. Burkardt seems as a good option but he will cost ~50M min, and out budget in 30~35M.

Well, if we can get Hojlund with loan (with buy option ranging from 30 mil as rumored), that’d be a steal. We’re becoming a quite good place for EPL ‘flops’, so yeah, this could work out fine.
Prefer Carmarda to both of them, but we have Santi, Okafor, and Rafa. Puli can play on the left. We only play once a week. Time to make some sales, tighten up the squad, Let’s see what we need by January.

Rasmus salary still on ACM parameter 4-5m euro nett. Fabrizio Romano : MU are open to loan rasmus. This is low risk with high reward for ACM , the only problem is rasmus want to stay even as bench warmer because he is MU fan similar like adili want to stay at ACM because ACM fans. The sad thing is that their love for club not mutual, MU want to get rid rasmus & ACM send adili to futuro
Yeah I know he is a Man utd. fan since childhood as he had even professed that long before joining them so this has always been a stumbling block when they came into the discussion. Personally I find it understandable because if I was an AC Milan player I would also rather try to fight for my chances than leaving. Højlund would be smart though to leave though if he wants to keep his international spot with Denmark as we have a bunch of good attackers and some also on the verge of potential breakthroughs. With a world cup also coming next year it could become a huge issue for him if he doesn’t plays regularly which in the end may sway his choice.
