AC Milan are considering a move for a youngster compared to Edon Zhegrova in the summer, according to a report today.

In recent years, Milan have often looked to France as a talent hotspot. Of course, with their success there, it makes sense. However, some have felt it was a little excessive at times, especially with so many links to players from Lille.

When Paulo Fonseca arrived, it appeared that a few more could join. In the end, though, he was the only arrival.

One name that kept being mentioned was Zhegrova’s, with the Kosovan winger being seen as a low-cost option, even if he had the quality of someone worth more.

The new Zhegrova?

In the end, he headed to Juventus, but now the Rossoneri are looking at another player who has a similar profile. Marco Palma, a scout, spoke to TMW Radio about Esmir Bajraktarević and his words have been relayed by MilanNews.

“PSV attacking outsider. Of dual nationality, he was born in the United States to Bosnian parents. After attending all the US youth national teams, he accepted the call of the Bosnian senior national team, of which he became one of the best interpreters.

“Equipped with great dribbling skills, unpredictability and great basic technique. Growing up in the New England Revolution, after playing two excellent seasons in the first team in January 2025, he was bought by PSV Eindhoven, who paid him €3 million.

“In the Netherlands, he had an excellent impact, doing very well in the league and also debuting in the Champions League. Followed by Milan.”
