AC Milan will go into their next set of fixtures without number one goalkeeper Mike Maignan but there is full trust in Ciprian Tatarusanu, a report claims.
Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) writes that the new calf injury Maignan sustained means that he will not play for Milan again in 2022 and therefore the final seven games before the World Cup will see Tatarusanu between the posts.

He has been given the opportunity to continuously because of Maignan’s issues – just as happened last season – and this will allow him to improve and gain more confidence.
The Romanian will find himself having to defend the goal in a crucial phase of the season, with the Scudetto battle ongoing and the need to win against Dinamo Zagreb and RB Salzburg in the Champions League.
Tatarusanu does need to improve on some aspects such as his distribution, something he is having specific training on, but his team-mates are with him 100% and there is belief from the staff that he can show his abilities and qualities.
With his feet he does not have the reading of the game and the vision of Maignan, and there are questions about how he commands his area, but the hope is that rhythm develops and confidence grows.
Dracula excels at bench warming and chearleeding. One area where he is lacking and should be worked on, is goalkeeping and retiring should also be practiced as well.

Are we even considering Dest as a goalkeeper? If true. this would be an incredibly dumb move by Pioli.
Not sure, I think Dest may have better command of the area than Tatarusanu, even if he is half his size.

Dracula in his day was not bad, he was not great, but far from bad. Sadly being a 2nd keeper for a very long time took a heavy toll on him. Being ancient and slow doesn’t help him either.
He should have retired a few years back, but penny pinching Elliott kept him around because it was cheaper then finding a new decent keeper.
We definitely need to retire both him and Mirante and find a new backup keeper.

Stop writing nonsense. Who said they have full confidence in Tata? I want to know and I want them out. I like Tata, I’m rooting for him, but confidence is not what he inspires is anyone. Every routine save has you worried with this guy.
