After completing the signing of Niclas Füllkrug, the AC Milan management are carefully planning how the attack of the future might look.

As Tuttosport report this morning, Füllkrug has so far made a positive impact. The 32-year-old has adapted well, having made his debut against Cagliari on January 2, and then having performed well off the bench against Genoa (could have won a penalty) and Fiorentina (should have had multiple assists).

Most recently, he scored a game-winning header against Lecce less than two minutes after coming on. It’s still unclear whether the former West Ham player will get a chance to start in Rome on Sunday evening, but his contribution will be needed nonetheless.

Milan are greatly appreciating how the German has embraced this adventure, with his spirit, enthusiasm and dedication. Füllkrug is surprising everyone, and if he keeps going this way then buying him permanently for €5m could be a given, especially with Champions League football.

Vlahovic as well?

Füllkrug has the ideal profile to be the starting No.9’s replacement in the future, a player who will arrive from the market and that could be Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian was courted by Allegri all summer, but unlike Rabiot, it wasn’t possible to acquire him.

However, his contract with Juventus is expiring in a few months, and his departure seems a foregone conclusion. Igli Tare has had several contacts with his agent Darko Ristic in recent weeks, officially regarding the young Montenegrin Andrej Kostic from Partizan Belgrade.

It’s clear that Vlahovic has also been discussed. The obstacles – as in the summer – remain related to salary demands and commissions (mostly due to him arriving as a free agent), but Milan won’t easily give up on Vlahovic, knowing they have a ready-made alternative at home.

      1. Mateta is miles better than Vlahovic who has a poor first touch like Gimenez and he can’t play with his back to the goal. He also has no hold up play.

Buying Mateta would be a huge bargain for a better striker. I don’t believe Milan are that stupid to sign Vlahovic over Mateta since it would be cheaper.

      2. Nkunku, Gimenez and Leao out, that’s approx 130mln extra cash for other players. Then we would have Pulisic, Vlahovic, Fullkrug and maybe get another like Lewa.

  1. I really do not like Vlahovic, but I think he would do well for us considering how we play. Before considering him, I would look into our youth. Do we have anyone that can play, and build slowly into the first team? Other big teams are doing that, look at Bayern, Real, and Barca. Having said that, I would only take him if he drops his salary demands and also we get him for cheap.

  2. Fullkrug was awesome with his back to goal setting up pulisic, twice- i think.. against Fiorentina. I absolutely loved it of him! Reminded me of Giroud
