Watch: Why Milan were furious about Bennacer’s disallowed goal vs. Inter

By Oliver Fisher -

The AC Milan players and management were left furious after Ismael Bennacer saw a goal disallowed during the second half of the Coppa Italia semi-final defeat to Inter.

After Bennacer stepped up to thump an effort in from 25 yards, the referee was surrounded by Inter players asking for a handball on Fikayo Tomori, but in the end the goal was inexplicably ruled out for an apparently offside on Pierre Kalulu.

Pioli was furious after the game and left his interview early after seeing the footage again. We’ll let you make your own mind up, but it seems from the video and the image that De Vrij was the man blocking the view of Handanovic, if indeed anyone was.

There was no appeal for an offside from the Inter goalkeeper after the goal went in, nor did he even attempt to save the ball. Nonetheless, the three goals conceded at the other end meant there are other things to worry about.

  1. Just move on and focus on next match versus Lazio. Even it is not offside we still lost 3-1 . Hope our player mentality not down in last 5 match serie A

    1. If the goal stands it becomes a different game in the last 20 minutes and i don’t believe it would have finished 3-1.

But agreed, the game is over, time to focus on Lazio

      1. Are you This dumb, what do you mean by 3-1, don’t you know what it means if it was 2-1, don’t you know the shift of energy it will cause…..some fans here are just wierd

  2. Gol yang dianulir, mempengaruhi hasil. Terbukti sejak dianulir serangan Milan jadi kendur. Terbukti wasit menentukan hasil, kalau di sini mungkin wasitnya sudah dikejar sampai lorong ganti.

  3. new ownership 1st thing to do is hire detective to investigate why all the reff, var & figc hate us so much

  4. This never ending story with Ref and Var i have never seen other leagues complaining about the Var as much as the Italian league its being shame, that we have this on weekly bases,

    1. Maybe because the VAR & refs in other countries are more impartial? Milan has been robbed of 11 points this season. ELEVEN!!! That’s only the Serie A points. How outrageous is that? I’d like to see PSG get robbed in France the same way. Or Liverpool in UK. Not going to happen. Ever.

  5. This never ending story with Ref and Var i have never seen other leagues complaining about the Var as much as the Italian league its being shame, that we have this on weekly bases,
