Milan Futuro suffered defeat in round 32 on Sunday, as they were beaten 1-0 by Varesina and missed the chance to seal a play-off spot.
Hopes were high for the Futuro as they secured a big 4-0 win in their game against Brusaporto last weekend. Minotti, Sardo, Magrassi and Traorè all got on the scoresheet as Oddo’s men opened up a four-point cushion over Villa Valle inside the play-offs.

However, they could not follow it up with a win yesterday. A great goal by Baud in the final quarter of an hour decided the match at the Stadio Chinetti. Oddo’s side spurned plenty of chances and they were ultimately made to pay.
The visitors took the lead in the 77th minute through a powerful strike from Baud, which came very much against the run of play as Torriani managed to get a touch but couldn’t stop it. Cappelletti, Sardo, Sala and Domniței all had chances to equalise, but the ball didn’t want to go in.
While Varesina make important progress in the play-off race, Milan remain in fifth place and in control of their own destiny, two points clear of Brusaporto and three ahead of Villa Valle with just 180 minutes of the regular season left to play.
The Rossoneri have a chance to bounce back on Sunday 26 at 15:00 CEST, away to Castellanzese, knowing that a win would be a big step towards the aim.
