Milan Futuro 1-1 Carpi: Camarda penalty seals first point in Serie C

By Oliver Fisher -

Today was a historic day for Milan Futuro as they got their first ever point in Serie C, coming from behind to draw 1-1 with Carpi at home.

Head coach Daniel Bonera started with all the players that Paulo Fonseca had called up for the match against Lazio as Davide Bartesaghi, Francesco Camarda, Hugo Cuenca and Kevin Zeroli all got the nod given they didn’t feature in the capital.

A first start also came for the summer signing Demiral Hodzic, while Silvano Vos and Nicolo Turco were on the bench, having arrived from Bologna, Ajax and Red Bull Leipzig respectively towards the end of August.

In a tense first half, Carpi took the lead through Zagnoni who converted from a free-kick. In truth the game was a struggle as Zeroli had a shot blocked, Camarda did not get much service, and the two wingers Traorè and Cuenca were well thwarted.

Fall and Vos came on in the second half, and they both changed the game. The former showed his experience (he is an overage player) and looked immediately dangerous, while Vos also demonstrated his experience (he has played more than a few games for the senior Ajax team).

From his endeavours came the penalty that led to the equalising goal as a ball in behind saw Panelli bring down Camarda. The centre-forward dusted himself down, converted it and dedicated the goal to a ball boy.

    1. Yup so happy for him – we will regret that one….and look at Maldini scored a beauty today. 2 goals already? More than Chuk had all last season and this season?

How much did we make from Maldini’ sale?????

      Oh ya I forgot…ZERO!!!

Another brilliant deal by the BANKER Furlani!

It was clear Gerry wanted to get rid of Maldini at all costs – simply because he was a Maldini – but he can never erase the greatest family in Milan’s history.
