Milan Futuro 1-3 Legnago Salus: Ballo-Toure throws away three points with red card

Milan Futuro were looking to distance themselves from the last-placed team, Legnago Salu, earlier today but failed in the end. They had the lead up until the 82nd minute, but a Fode Ballo-Toure red card threw everything away.

Milan Futuro opened the scoring towards the end of the first half, more specifically in the 41st minute, through Davide Bartesaghi. A short corner was played to Mattia Sandri who then picked out the youngster in the box with a low cross. It was a very nice finish as well.

The goal came at just the right time as the away side looked more dangerous for most of the first half, with momentum shifting at the end. Ahead of the second half, Francesco Camarda was subbed off for Hugo Cuenca, which suggests that the striker will indeed be called up by the first team on Tuesday.

Bonera’s men had a few chances in the second half but everything was overshadowed by Fode Ballo-Toure, who made his return after months out in the cold. In the 74th minute, he received his second yellow card of the game and was sent off, making life very difficult for the team.

Sure enough, eight minutes later, Legnago found the equaliser after a free-kick. Unfortunately, it got even worse as the away side scored another in the 85th minute thanks to a great individual effort. Milan, or rather Ballo-Toure, threw everything away against the rock-bottom team.

Frustration was evident among the Futuro players and in the dying minutes, Alex Jimenez was sent off as well for two quick yellow cards. This allowed Legnago to score a third and definitely kill the game. The question is whether Milan should think about sacking Bonera now or not.
