Milan Futuro 3-0 Scanzorosciate: Ibrahimovic on target in third win of the season

Milan Futuro prevailed in their clash against Scanzorosciate this afternoon thanks to goals from Maxi Ibrahimovic, Diego Sia and Emanuele Borsani.

After the 0-0 stalemate mid-week, Massimo Oddo’s men were eager to score some goals and managed to do so against Scanzorosciate today. That being said, it took a while before the deadlock was broken.

The first half was far from perfect for Milan and the away side actually had a few decent chances to take the lead. Fortunately, the scores remained 0-0 as the referee blew the whistle for half-time and the Rossoneri were able to regroup.

In the second half, things looked better from the get-go but it was five substitutions (not in one go, but all before the 72nd minute) that yielded a result. The youngster Borsani was brought on as the last sub and instantly won a penalty for the team.

Andrea Magrassi stepped up to take the penalty but saw his effort saved. Ibrahimovic, another one of the subs, was quick to react and slotted home the rebound. It wasn’t the easiest of finishes either so credit to the winger for finding the back of the net.

Then, the floodgates opened. Just four minutes later, in the 78th minute, Simone Branca played a nice pass to Diego Sia who beat the goalkeeper with a lovely outside-of-the-boot effort.

Milan didn’t stop there as the super sub, Borsani, was played through on goal by Magrassi in the 87th minute and made no mistakes with the finish. The game ended 3-0 and as a result, the Rossoneri are still second in the standings.

  1. What a difference a new coach makes.
Bonera, who was Ibra’s buddy, was an utter disaster.

What a difference getting Ibra completely out of the Milan decision making process has made this season.
It’s easy to see now that the utter chaos of the senior team and the disaster of the Futuro team in Serie C was hugely the fault of letting Ibra stick his fingers into these decisions regarding selection of coaches and players.
