Last night, AC Milan confirmed that young defender Federico Colombo has renewed his contract with the club for an undisclosed amount of time.
The Mila Futuro project is still very much active, and whilst it may have had a disappointing start, the club still believe it can be a place of growth for the younger members of the squad, and there is already a decent success rate.

Of course, some players were on the verge of a first-team place anyway, but Alex Jimenez and Davide Bartesaghi were both classified as Futuro players at the start of last season. Now, they are both playing in an elite European league.
Contract extended
Hopefully, they will not be the only graduates from the project, and Federico Colombo may hope to make his way into the senior team eventually. It is certainly possible, with the club offering him a renewal, which was confirmed on the website last night.
“AC Milan is pleased to announce the contract extension of Federico Colombo. The defender, born in 2007 and with the Rossoneri for nine seasons, will continue to be part of the Milan Future Project, an initiative dedicated to the growth and development of young talents.”
