CM.it: Genoa vs. Milan has mercato sub-plot as Rossoneri management monitor wing-back

By Oliver Fisher -

There is another interesting mercato-related sub-plot to tonight’s game between AC Milan and Genoa at the Marassi, according to a report.

Tuttosport (via MilanLive) reported this morning that the Genoa and Milan managements could discuss Pietro Pellegri and Samu Castillejo tonight as both are targets for Andriy Shevchenko’s team and neither are finding much playing time with the Rossoneri at the moment.

According to Calciomercato.it, the Rossoneri’s magnifying glass is on Andrea Cambiaso, who should start at left wing-back for Shevchenko’s side. He has a contract expiring at the end of the season and given that he is just 21 years of age it is clear that he matches Elliott Management’s identikit of a young player with room to grow.

He could arrive and back the new deputy to Theo Hernandez depending on what happens with Fode Ballo-Toure who has largely struggled to impress this season. However, Juventus and Inter also want the young Italian.
