Francesco Camarda is seen as the future of AC Milan by many. However, he will head away for a while, as has been reported today.
It was a given that Camarda would leave this summer. A loan seemed the obvious answer, but now reports suggest that he will leave the club with an option to buy. There is, as you would expect, a caveat to this, though.

Milan will retain ‘control’ due to a buy-back clause in the deal, making it a glorified loan, effectively. In addition to this, it will probably help financially, which is not a bad thing, all things considered.
Why Lecce
The formula and club chosen definitely needs to be looked at, and Gazzetta dello Sport have done so today, and the first point of clarity is that the ‘final word’ remains in the hands of the Diavolo, so there can be less panic there.
Camarda’s exit needs to be an opportunity to progress, and moving to Lecce, in the Rossoneri’s eyes, is the place to do so. Guarantees have been provided for different ways to utilise the striker, whilst staying in Serie A will also help, given that other interest was from Serie B.
It is certainly a bit of a risk, but without risk, the reward may be far, far less. Ultimately, it is a risk which Milan control, albeit no longer under their own roof.
I’m not sure that’s going to be the right club for him, I would have preferred a top Serie B team.
That said, most of our loanees finished above us last year, so probably will end up doing so again…
I completely agree. Serie B would have been the better level for the 17 year old. Look at what Esposito did in Serie B, now he’s ready to either stay with Inter’s first team or go on loan to a Serie A club. Lecce will be struggling in the relegation zone and they’ll certainly drop Camarda to the bench in favor of a more experienced striker. Lecce aren’t going to see themselves relegated for the sake of giving Milan’s 17 year old minutes.

I thought that Allegri will help him grow with Milan. I hope he will be happy and come back at Milan asap.
