MN: Milan given €8,000 fine by Sports Judge due to ‘repeat offences’ – the reason

AC Milan, this evening, have been given a fine from the Sports Judge, a report has revealed, and it’s thanks to a repeat offence.

This weekend’s result was beyond positive for Milan. They rose back into third, and now only sit a point behind Napoli in the rankings. Furthermore, their Serie A unbeaten streak reached nine games, which is phenomenal in itself.

Mike Maignan’s return to form was crowned with a penalty save, whilst Rafael Leao also proved that he can be pivotal when needed again. As a result, both were given warm welcomes back to the dressing room at full-time.

Milan fined for delays

As MilanNews relays, the Sports Judge has handed out a fine to the Rossoneri for their delay back onto the pitch for the second half.

“Fine of €8,000.00: to AC Milan for strict liability, for having unjustifiably delayed the start of the first half by approximately two minutes and the start of the second half by approximately two minutes; repeat offender.”

Given the turnaround in performance from the first half to the second, though, Massimiliano Allegri will not be too worried about the fine, given his words were received as intended. It is certainly not something that either party will want to become a habit, though.

    1. They did it all the time in the last 2 years as well – both as visitors and hosts. I guess it’s some kind of mumbo jumbo tactic to play with the nerves of the opposite side, but mostly it looks unprofessional if you do it constantly.
