CM: Milan on ‘high-alert’ after Tah announces free agency – the competition they face

Jonathan Tah announced that he will be a free agent at the end of the season this morning, and AC Milan are watching the situation with eagerness.

In the summer, Milan are set to make a number of changes, on and off the pitch. Nevertheless, you would imagine that opportunities that arise before the arrival of a new sporting director would still be considered, as the club have mainly focused on opportunistic mercato movements recently.

So, with Tah announcing that he will leave Bayer Leverkusen for free at the end of his contract this summer, it seems the Rossoneri have been put on ‘high alert’, as Calciomercato write (via Football Italia).

Reports have suggested the club have been watching the situation previously, and with defensive changes already expected, a signing like Tah would be significant, in terms of actual quality and statement.

However, a move will not be easy to complete, given there is significant interest from Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the German. Closer to home though, Inter and Juventus have also taken note of the situation, though a move to Milano is more probable than Turin it seems.

Considering Fikayo Tomori and Malick Thiaw could depart, the Diavolo may tempt the Leverkusen defender with the idea of being the start of a new defensive unit.

  1. Tag is a no-brainer. I’m still assuming that Theo is on his way out even as, in his final games, he’s finally in the right position in a 3-5-1-1 as an attaching wingback with minimal defensive responsibilities. That would free up $ to sign Tah.

I get the Reyna haters. He’s so injury prone. Having said that, he has more talent than Pulisic and is only 22 – Pulisic seems to have aged out of being injury prone and guessing Reyna will soon top. Reyna should never have gone to Germany – his game is more suited to La Liga or Serie A. I like him as a backup 10 to Reijnders or a starting 10 if Reijnders plays the 8. I’ve seen great things out of Fofana in the new system. Musah should be on the bench. He’s only 21 and needs more seasoning.

    1. if he is a no-brainer than we won’t get him…”too old”…”doesn’t fit our model”…its milan wake up

    1. Experience and leadership counts.

      We are Milan not Genoe

Champions plays in Milan to win trophies, not a school or raising player for resales.

  2. LOL. Keep dreaming.

It’s insane to me some fans on here STILL don’t think we are owned by Redbird. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

This will NEVER happen. He’s likely going to Barca as been rumored for many months.

Wake up. Redbird are our owners. A banker runs our sporting department. We STILL have wage caps and transfer caps. And did we fornget because of the DISASTER of a season lead but management – we have NO UCL to offer…….period. So NO this will NOT be happening.
