AC Milan are trying to hijack the renewal negotiations between Juventus and Dusan Vlahovic over a renewal, it is claimed.
In recent weeks, the Vlahovic idea seemed to have cooled down for Milan amid talk that the striker was close to extending his deal, which expires at the end of June. Yet, there could well be a dramatic late twist in proceedings.
Milan back in for Vlahovic
According to SportMediaset, Milan are now trying to intervene in negotiations between the player and the Bianconeri. Juventus’ idea is a two-year extension at most, with a significantly reduced salary compared to the €12m he currently earns.
They’re talking about €6.5-7m net per season, excluding bonuses. The fee to be paid to his agent – Darko Ristic – has yet to be determined, and this has always been the biggest obstacle to Vlahovic’s contract extension.
However, there hasn’t been any new contact between the parties in recent weeks, so Milan are trying to persuade the Serbian to join his former coach Massimiliano Allegri. To overtake Juventus, the Rossoneri are reportedly willing to match their salary offer, if not even raise it slightly.
Instead of a two-year contract, they’ll offer a three-year deal, one more than the one the Turin club are offering. Furthermore, in recent days, Milan finalised the signing of striker Andej Kostic who also has Ristic as his agent. Who knows, perhaps this was also an opportunity to discuss Vlahovic.
From a financial standpoint, it would be a very costly move that could significantly impact Milan’s budget, but two factors must be taken into account. First, a quality striker costs no less than €50m, and secondly Rafael Leao could leave, raising some funds.

Last year mercato was 8.5/10.
This year, if we can get both kostoc and vlahovic even before the mercato would start, it will already 7/10 mercato that can get way better.
There is still lot of hate on management and Tare, but they are cooking
Even though we did some fairly good transfers last summer Like Rabiot, Modric and Ricci I certainly wouldn’t call it 8.5 or probably not even 8 as we never solved the attack issues, got a pretty horrible left wing back and basically only got 2 players that could step right in to the squad when called upon. The Nkunku deal still baffles me to this day, Odogu has played maybe 10 minutes or something. Athekame will still take some time, Jashari quikly injured and probably but probably still would have needed some adjustment time had it not happened. De Winter is starting to do well but also needed some adjustment. That is not really planning for the present season but the following one. I’d say 7 or 7.5 at most and that is fairly generous considering the players we also sold in the same Mercato.
I will nevertheless say it will be a great start for next season if we can attain both Kostic and Vlahovic before the season starts. We also bought Alphadjo Cissè in January and loaned him back to Catanzaro but unfortunately quickly got injured there but at least will arrive for us in the summer. Again the two of those 3 players is more planning for future than instant impact signings and to get as high scores as 8.5 in my view there really need to be several marquee players like Vlahovic or last summers Rabiot.
I can’t speak for others and I might dislike the ownership but hasn’t got the slightest against Tare.
8.5/10 based on what?
15/10 for Chelsea cz they sold 40m Nkunku to us
8.5? LMAO. Jashari, Ricci and Nkunku combined cost over 120m and they are not starters. It’s impossible to spend that much on players who are not in the starting 11.
We were lucky to get Rabiot and Luka Modric. Last summer mercato was trash.
Estupinan and Athekame are not good enough.
Jashari, Ricci and Modric all play the same position. So we didn’t need both Ricci and Jashari.
We still didn’t get a proper striker and we are playing 2 wingers as strikers.
The only good sign were Koni De Winter, Rabiot and Modric. Everybody else was a complete waste of money.
I rate last summer mercato 3/10.
Modric next season will be retired bro ..
I haven’t seen Vlahovic kick a ball for a long time. Is he still good enough to lead an attack in the Champions League?
Agreed. If we somehow manage to hijack Tonali….. Then it’s a straight 20/10 😂
On a serious note, bringing in Scalvini would be an amazing buy, on top of the free goretzka! Was just reading that Juventus will listen to offers for cambiaso…. Interesting.
Vlahovic and Bernardo Silva for free would be huge!
Goretzka a bit on his final foot imo… injury issues and most of the time quite mediocre…
Ahhhhh this explains the Kostic timing. Same agent. Shady stuff going on
That’s a lot of money for a player who poses more questions than answers for our needs.
Vlahovic on a free at 7M net (14M gross) for three years and say a 10M signing bonus is a 52M outlay ((14M x 3) + 10M). That’s heaper than spending 50M on a transfer fee and THEN salary.
Goretzka on a free same thing, about the same numbers it’s been reported.
So that’s about 108M.
Then spend ~25M on bringing Min-Jae Kim back, let’s say at 6M per year net (12M gross), four year contract. 73M total.
Spend ~20M on a new left back to replace Estupinan (or see if we can nab something on a free)
Total Spend: 163-183M.
Sell Leao for 60M, sell deadwood (Estupinan, Musah, Bennacer, RLC) for ~45M total.
Total Income: 105M
Net Spend: 58-78M, which given CL money should put us closer to 20-40M out of pocket depending on final numbers. This should be totally doable.
We strengthen the spine with proven veterans plus replace the useless Estupinan.
