Milan will honour Lodetti with a minute’s silence before Verona clash

By Isak Möller -

The AC Milan legend Giovanni Lodetti passed away earlier today at the age of 81. He played a key part in the club’s history and there will be a minute’s silence in his memory before Milan-Verona.

As confirmed by Milan to the media, there will be a minute’s silence before the game against Hellas Verona tomorrow. There will also be photos of Lodetti on the big screen, giving the fans a chance to honour the former Rossoneri midfielder.

The Milan players will also be wearing a black armband during the game. An official request has been sent to Lega Serie A, who will give the final approval, but the Rossoneri are not expecting any issues with their request.

The game is scheduled for 15:00 CEST and no less than 70k are expected at the stadium, which is another great figure. The third kit will also be debuted, hopefully getting a win in its first game.
