AC Milan are working on the renewal of Ismael Bennacer and there are positive feelings about the outcome, according to a report.
According to the latest from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan have been in talks with Bennacer and his entourage over the extension of his current contract for months now, but the white smoke has not yet arrived.
The Algerian midfielder’s deal is currently set to expire in 2024 and in order to get him to renew, the salary must be adjusted with an increase from the current €1.5m net per season up to €3.5m plus bonuses.
An agreement between the parties has not yet been found, but according to the paper the feeling is that it will be reached in the coming weeks with more talks, as Stefano Pioli hopes to be able to count upon a crucial member of his midfield rotation for years to come.
