CorSport: Milan management hoping to sign four more players before the window shuts

By Oliver Fisher -

The Milan management are working hard to give Stefano Pioli a squad that is well equipped for a long season ahead, with more signings reportedly expected.

Milan have been one of the most active teams in the market not just in Italy but across Europe. Six signings have arrived, namely goalkeeper Mike Maignan from Lille, centre-back Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea, midfielder Sandro Tonali from Brescia, striker Olivier Giroud from Chelsea, left-back Fode Ballo-Toure from Monaco and playmaker Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid.

As this morning’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes, the search for quality will be one of the most important themes of the Rossoneri’s mercato in the last month. In August, the management will have to complete their work by complete another four signings to make Pioli’s team even more competitive.

There are still issues to be addressed, such as the replacement for Hakan Calhanoglu, the deputy right-back spot, a fourth central midfielder, and possibly a new right winger too.
